Roko Luxury Rooms

This was the worst experience of my life. My partner and I booked because we wanted somewhere comfortable to relax on our first holiday together. Instead, things turned into a nightmare. There was no receptionist to help us, and our room was full of flies. We counted more than 70, with even more appearing while we waited. They were on the walls, sofas, and bed. It was disgusting. We called a couple of times before they tried to find us a suitable room, but they had no availability, so we moved all our things to another accommodation a few minutes from Roko. The next day we expected to stay there, but they told us to go back to the original room, saying the problem had been fixed. It looked clean and fly-free, so we went into Split downtown for a tour. When we returned, flies had appeared again. It was clear there was an infestation somewhere. After speaking with the receptionist, we were given the room next door for the night. That meant moving our stuff for the third time. We stayed in that other room for a second night and thought they’d let us remain there after all the trouble. They didn’t. They kicked us out, saying there was no availability, and left us to find somewhere else for the next two days without any help or suggestions. We had to book another hotel at the last minute for double the price. Our four-day trip to Split became a nightmare. We wanted to relax, but spent the whole trip stressed. We got a refund for the two nights we didn’t stay. After weeks of WhatsApp messages and calls, they also gave us 15% compensation, which didn’t even cover half the cost of the hotel we had to book at the last minute. Awful stay, and an awful attitude when it came to sorting out the problems!
