The room was very basic but clean, and the private parking spot next to the hotel was a big plus. It’s perfectly placed for walking to the old town.

The twin beds were comfortable enough, and the location was near the Old Town, in some kind of courtyard with gradual around it. Maybe a budget traveler would find it okay. There’s no front desk. Our room had no trash can, not enough toilet paper for two nights, and the small water heater only held enough hot water for one shower. Management, if there isn’t someone at the property, perhaps you could message guests to check whether everything is okay.

We’d seen some recent low reviews and didn’t expect much, but we were completely satisfied with our twin-bed apartment. The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of shelving for two people to unpack for a few days, and the shower pressure was great. The kitchenette was basic but enough for breakfast and simple meals. The washing machine was great too. The place is very close to the old town and local bus stops, and the main intercity bus stop is walkable. Double-glazed windows and outer shutters cut the noise and kept the room dark, unlike many budget places where scant window coverings let in full light at 5 a.m. One suggestion: put a sign on the street side saying the entrance is on the courtyard side of the building. At first I thought the place had closed. Without a SIM or internet, finding reception could have been a challenge, but I found it. Good value and clean.

It was quiet with the window closed, about a 10-minute walk from the cathedral, and there are several supermarkets nearby. But the kitchen wasn’t spotless, and in the morning I saw a large insect scurrying around. It was too fast for me to identify. The room looks modern at first, but there were no pots or tea kettle, and the TV didn’t work because its cable was broken. I’m 1.93 m (6'4") tall and could only lie diagonally in bed. The pillows were too large and left my neck kinked. There were no bedside lights, just one big light for the whole room. The shower had no door, so water sprayed into the bedroom. I asked about a kettle on WhatsApp since no staff were present. They replied and promised to bring one or a pot in the morning, but do I want to wait around for it? It hadn’t arrived by the time I left at 8 a.m.
