A lovely place to wander around Split and take in the city. It was so tidy and well kept for visitors, a great spot to explore and see something different.

We’re staying in Split now, and this is easily the best campsite we’ve experienced. It’s peaceful, secure, and very well organized, with clean grounds and management that feels professional. The Riva waterfront is very close, and the staff are both welcoming and highly professional, with service to match. There’s a full set of modern facilities, plus a wellness center with saunas, swimming pools, and a jacuzzi. It costs €25 per night for two people, and that covers everything without hidden charges. A great option for a short visit or a longer stay. We’d happily come back and recommend it.

The crowds can take over the Palace area and boulevard when a cruise ship arrives, with guided groups everywhere. Eating and drinking around there is overpriced, so you can get food of the same quality just beyond the busy area. I did enjoy the old town, especially its beautiful architecture, though most of the buildings, around 90%, have become shops or restaurants. It’s much like other cities in that respect.

March was a lovely time to be there, with hardly any crowds. It was relaxing to stroll around, sit by the sea, or take a coffee break.
