Up There

The receptionists were all friendly and helpful, and there was good coffee in the reception area. Our room was well designed and worked well. The building is old, so the windows aren't double-glazed and a lot of traffic noise comes through. There’s no private car park, and finding street parking in peak season isn't easy. Croatia doesn't get much rain, but I'd suggest leaving a note in the room about towel changes. Guests could hang towels they don't need changed, or leave them on the floor if they do, to help save water and electricity and care for the environment. Still a good value hotel in Croatia. I'd definitely stay again in low season if I had a car.

The staff made things easy, from a quick check-in to letting us leave our bags and change because we arrived early. They also pointed us to cafes and restaurants. Our room was on the sixth floor, with lovely views of Split ferry terminal and the Bacvice Beach area. It was modern and comfortable, with a quiet, cool feel, strong shower pressure, good air con, and a very comfortable bed. The old town's busy center is about a five-minute walk away, along with restaurants and tourist attractions.

The sea view was nice, and the service was good, but I couldn't sleep properly because traffic noise came straight through the poorly insulated window. At this price, it's a real shame that this issue hasn't been sorted out. I wouldn't really recommend staying here.

Marco was a huge help, whether we needed transport or ideas for things to do. The room was clean and in a great location.
