Apartments Jerina

The apartment was perfectly fine. Getting to the beach was the problem, since you have to cross a very busy road, which is difficult with children or pets.

The host was a nice older woman, but it was hard to find the place in the dark. Payment here is cash only, in kuna.

The one thing going for these apartments is how close they are to the sea, but that didn’t make up for the experience. I’d give it one star at most, or -5 if I could. The accommodation was in awful shape, with dirt everywhere and neglected furniture and walls. It looked as if no repairs or cleaning had been done for years. The beds were old and uncomfortable, the mattresses sagged, and the pillows were extremely hard. Cupboards were broken, and power sockets were coming out of the walls, which was also dangerous. There were hardly any amenities. The hot water would last for one person at most, and water barely drained from the bathroom and shower. The kitchen had no oven, just two old electric burners, and very little usable cookware. There was no grater or decent-sized pot, and everything stuck to the only metal frying pan. We had to buy our own dish soap and even toilet paper.

It’s close to the sea and shops, and there is parking. But a 7-meter Sprinter van couldn’t get in because the street entrance was too narrow and sharply angled.
