The apartment wasn't as advertised, and it lacked basic amenities and cleanliness. After I left honest feedback about the stay, the owner demanded €500 for alleged damage, even though we had left the apartment in perfect condition. It seemed like an attempt to scare us into removing negative feedback. The owner's approach showed poor business ethics and made the place feel hostile. I'd urge anyone considering Vila Smirna to think twice and choose somewhere that respects honest feedback and its guests.

I liked the view and the pool area, but little else. I stayed for two nights in September 2025. The room felt dated, the bed was uncomfortable, and the pillows were cheap. The air conditioning didn't work, and I was told to open the windows. The bathroom was okay but worn, and there was a strange smell in the room. I don't like leaving bad reviews about someone's business, but a week after my stay, following my 7/10 rating on booking.com, the apartment tried to charge me 500 euro, claiming I'd damaged the bathroom and caused a leak. I contacted booking.com, who were fantastic and are aware this is a scam. I also tried calling the owners several times but got no answer. The owners had seemed nice, but after seeing their replies to other negative reviews, it looks like they've tried this before. I think it's necessary to share what happened, as I don't like scammers. Don't stay here, they might try the same thing with you.

The location was great, near the sea, and we enjoyed the family apartment's garden and saltwater pool. Some things could use work: there were no wardrobes for clothes, the central air conditioning was weak, and a few pieces of furniture deserve replacing. We still liked our stay.
