Everything was just right. The uphill walk is quite steep, so if that's not your thing, you might want to drive up.

The plane noise adds a bit to the “romance,” though I doubt there's anywhere in Trogir where you'd avoid it. You do have quite a climb to reach the place, but the view makes it worthwhile. Inside, the room was designed to an unusually high standard for private accommodation in Croatia, with a polished, harmonious look. The host was warm and straightforward. Croatian and German were available as advertised, but we managed to understand each other without relying on them.

The villa sits right at the top of a steep hill, which was the one drawback for me. Inside, though, it was modern and clean, with a well-equipped kitchen, a comfortable bed, and air conditioning. The owners were friendly.
