The host was very kind and helpful, and her English was perfect. The room was roomy, with a little balcony, and all the equipment was new and perfectly clean. It’s a really nice place, very close to the center.

The room was comfortable and clean, and the property is very close to the center. But after I booked directly with them two weeks before my stay and confirmed again two days ahead, they messaged to say the reservation was no longer available. They blamed Booking, even though I’d booked and confirmed directly with the property. Very unprofessional management.

The location is really nice, and the room itself was fine, though nothing special. We could hear the other guests a lot, and there was an unpleasant smell, maybe smoke or the pipes, I’m not sure. The owner hadn’t told us where to leave the keys at checkout, and she wasn’t there when we left, so we were stuck wondering what to do. It’s okay for one night, but definitely not a four-star hotel or apartment.

The room had very poor sound insulation. We could hear other guests talking, and the TV too. The balcony looks onto an abandoned building behind the property, which might explain why that view isn’t shown on Booking.com. The manager’s communication was unprofessional: everything goes through messages, and when I asked to speak to someone, she sent another person who didn’t fully know what was going on. They say they have their own parking, but the driveway is actually pedestrian space, so getting in means driving among people walking and squeezing between two buildings. The space is too tight for cars of different sizes, and most guests leave their cars parked because they don’t want to move them along the narrow street.
