Glamping Village Terme Tuhelj

We were there in winter, when few people were staying in the cottages, and had the wellness to ourselves for half a day. Having its own wellness is a big plus. Breakfast was good, too. One thing we hadn’t realized is that the cottages for two are two connected buildings, with a wall between you and the other guests. You can hear what they’re watching on TV. As glamping guests, we could use everything hotel guests could, though the sauna world came with a small charge.

A great venue for putting on events.

The concept is great and it’s been carried out well, but some important things have been neglected. The pool water is cold, and there isn’t enough lighting around the houses. The terrace is green, and the air conditioning barely works. It also shuts off when you go outside, so you come back to a free sauna, and you still can’t cool the place down because it doesn’t really work.

Even in winter, this made for a perfect romantic break. We especially like the privacy, being close to nature, and staying in bright, modern, comfortable mobile homes with a very large terrace. You can pick an English, American, or Zagorje breakfast and choose when a basket of food is delivered, so you can stay in your bathrobes all day. There’s also a wellness oasis with Finnish and steam saunas, massage rooms, a massage pool, and a place to relax. For an evening meal, we went to the intimate à la carte restaurant Dvorec Mihanović. The castle’s romantic atmosphere and modern take on indigenous Zagorje dishes were a lovely finishing touch. The glamping has plenty for a pampering stay, and guests can also use the pools and saunas at the Well Hotel next door.
