Finding the accommodation was difficult because there are no signs. The room was noisy during the day, so after a long journey I couldn’t get a nap, and the bed squeaked. Although the facilities description mentioned a kitchen, fireplace and terrace, we only had a room and a shared kettle on the floor. The location is handy for the ferry and bus stop. I’d suggest it for a single night before travelling on.

I came to Vela luka in August for work, expecting to stay five days, but the trip stretched to ten. The scenery is spectacular, and it’s a real hidden gem. Marinka was a great host and pointed me toward some good restaurants and lovely beaches. Five stars from me.

The accommodation was freshly refurbished and kept very clean and tidy. It’s on a lovely, quiet side street just off the seafront, with a nice courtyard. Such a lovely place to stay.

The host is a very kind woman and happy to help with anything you need. The rooms are clean, the apartments are great, and the prices are very affordable. The house is on a quiet street close to the center.
