The terrace has beautiful views, and the seating outside is a shady place to eat and enjoy a cool glass of wine or a couple of Croatian beers while listening to the Cicadas. Olive trees surround this peaceful spot, just minutes from the sea. Vela Luka, with its restaurants, bars and grocery shops, is a 10-minute drive away. Stone House San Pelegrin is easily the most beautiful holiday accommodation we've ever visited. There's plenty of room inside and extensive air conditioning. The kitchen is well equipped, everything was very clean, and the separate outdoor building has another fridge, a sink and barbecue equipment. Our hosts were warm and friendly, and we really appreciated the lovely gift waiting in the fridge when we arrived. I was sad to leave and wished we could have stayed longer. A wonderful place!
Stone House San Pelegrin is a renovated old stone house, once an agricultural cottage, now finished as a luxury property with carefully designed interiors and outdoor spaces. The 90-square-meter home has two bedrooms, a sea view, a green garden with outdoor furniture, a kitchen, lounge, bathroom and free parking.
The only good thing was the terrace view. The island is beautiful, but this stay ruined our holiday, and I strongly advise people not to book here. We felt unsafe after a serious incident one night that led us to call the police. They told us there was a homeless woman in the forest, already known to them, who robs houses. After that, we were scared and couldn't feel secure. The landlord was hard to reach, didn't speak English when we did get hold of him, and wouldn't cooperate or try to solve anything. We weren't personally welcomed or given the key. We had to find out where it was hidden indirectly, with Airbnb's help, and no one showed us how the house worked. There were many problems with the property. The bathroom was dirty, covered in cobwebs and, as the photos show, completely moldy. Most outdoor lights were broken, and exposed wiring had been patched with tape, which seemed clearly unsafe. The gravel driveway was slippery and barely manageable in a small car. The whole place was overgrown and neglected, unlike the listing pictures. Our experience was unacceptable, so I have to question all the positive reviews. One star is too generous. Do not book!
The owners made the biggest impression on us, with their warmth, hospitality and welcoming nature. We’ll definitely come back. The house was lovely and clean when we arrived, with a fresh smell and a kitchen that had nearly all the utensils you need for cooking. The interior suits the style of the house, and the modern sun loungers outside add a touch of Dalmatia. For a real break, this place is a great fit. The morning and evening views over the olive trees, sea and surrounding landscape are wonderful when all you want is quiet. Our stay at Stone House San Pelegrin was absolutely wonderful, and we were pleasantly surprised by the welcome when we arrived. Full marks!
A place for complete peace, with no crowds or people around, right out in the wilderness. If rocky swimming spots suit you, we can highly recommend it. The owners are kind and helpful, and they’re finishing the pool this year, which will make the house perfect.
