Vacation House Katica

This was unacceptable. I cancelled my booking through booking.com less than 25 minutes after making it, but was still charged 400 EUR. The owner got another booking for the same dates and still didn’t return my money. Is that robbery? And booking.com said those were the owner's rules? I’d book through a different agency.

The cottage is set up for two at the moment, with just one bedroom, and it’s about 3 km from central Vela Luka. The walk takes around 40 minutes, or it’s a 10-minute bike ride along a very quiet road. There’s a barbecue spot and private access to the water. We were looking for peace, quiet and nature, and found that time seems to move differently here. The owners are a lovely older couple who brought us refreshments, which we really appreciated. A good place to get away from the city’s daily rush. We’ll be back.

The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, though they don’t speak English or Italian, just a few words of German. Around the house are fig, peach and olive trees, plus a little vineyard. Inside, there’s a bedroom, shower bathroom, living room and adjoining kitchen, as well as a terrace with an amazing bay view. The house sits among greenery and has its own parking. Best of all is the small private beach with a dock, beside the crystal-clear sea in a beautiful bay. We had a wonderful holiday and I absolutely recommend the location! 👍👍👍

We’ve been returning for four years and plan to keep coming back. The house is right by the sea, lovely, and perfect for a restful stay in nature. The host family is so kind that we feel like part of the family. Thanks so much for everything.
