Top place!

The terrace was our favorite place to sit, with comfy seats and a rocking chair for coffee in the morning or winding down later. The apartment is modern and has all the useful things we needed, including a washer, dryer, iron, and air conditioning. It's up in Veliko Brdo, so the views and sunsets are lovely. You can walk down to Makarska Beach, though getting back uphill takes longer and is more of a workout. It's peaceful here away from the center, and having private parking was a big plus. A very nice lady showed us around when we arrived, so check-in was easy. We had a wonderful stay and definitely recommend it! 😁

We had a disappointing stay at the Willa Blanka Apartment. The shower drain was clogged from the start, so we couldn't use the bathroom properly. When we told the owner, they said there was nothing to be done and suggested we find somewhere else if we didn't like it. After driving over 700 km, that was the last thing we wanted to hear. The apartment is spacious but dark, and being on the ground floor made privacy difficult. With the blinds open, passersby could see right in. There was no view either, just parked cars to look at from the large terrace. The hanging chair squeaked badly, and the bedroom was dark. The mattress was much too soft, so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with back problems. For families with small children, the basics are missing: no crib, baby bathtub, high chair, plastic cutlery, cup, or plate. The kitchen was poorly equipped too. Its induction cooktop was too small to use two pots or pans at once, there weren't many glasses or utensils, and there was no dish drainer. Both rooms had air conditioning, and Netflix and Chromecast were available. The living room bed was big but uncomfortable, and didn't have enough room for two more people. The clothes dryer was too small for a family of four. The property is up a hill, so with a child we had to drive everywhere. The beach and shops are about a 25-minute walk away, but the uphill return can be tiring. The upstairs neighbors were noisy as well, with balcony parties going past 11 PM despite the curfew, along with loud footsteps and music. This might suit two people looking for basic lodging on a short trip. I wouldn't recommend it for a family with children or for four people.
