Apartments Zoka

The hosts were really nice, and the place is beautiful and close to the beach. I’d highly recommend it!

Really top-notch apartments.

The owners, who are Croatian and span three generations, live upstairs, while the apartments are on the ground floor. It was helpful to be able to reach them right away with questions or problems. The apartment did what we needed: everything worked and was usable. Two pebble beaches are within a 10-minute walk, including Jadro, the central beach. A few things held it back from five stars. Two families shared one entrance key, though we managed fine. The yard toys were worn but usable, the backyard was untidy with prickly weeds in places, and our bathroom was small and dark. The rooms could also use a bigger, more practical closet for unpacking.

The place was nice and clean, close to both the beach and the center. But two days before we left, the tap came off in my hand. We told the owner, who helped straight away and replaced it. It wasn’t a modern tap and was covered in limescale. Still, the owner treated it as vandalism and charged us 300 kuna, which felt unfair. Does that mean a guest would have to buy a new fridge or TV if one broke?!
