We waited an hour for the food, and the waiter hadn't warned us about a delay. I finished eating before the rest of our table had been served. One of the kids tried to order spareribs, but they were sold out, so he hurriedly chose something else. What arrived was a 1 kg Tomahawk steak costing 10 euro per 100 grams. We were shocked. The waiter should have realized a 13-year-old wouldn't eat a steak that size, and they should have explained the price and portion. We thought it was a 100 g steak for 10 euro. We'd ordered the 20 euro house wine, so I thought it was obvious we weren't ordering a 100 euro steak for a kid. He also didn't ask how the steak should be cooked, and it came rare. The kid asked for it to be cooked longer, but after a long wait they brought a new, even bigger steak instead of cooking the first one a bit more. When we asked for a discount over the lack of information, the waiter said the boss had agreed to 20% off the bill, but we still paid 85 euro for the steak. The customer service was really bad, and it was petty of the owner not to come out himself.

The food was lovely, although the fish was a bit sandy, and it felt pricey for Vodice. We waited more than 1 hour 45 minutes, even though it was already past 9:30 pm and the place was emptying out. Our food finally arrived around 11:25 pm. We complained, and they offered free dessert, which was at least a nice gesture after such a long wait.

Service was quite poor and slow. The food was ok, nothing special but not bad, though the portions were tiny. The chef's plate for two was enough for one, and the tagliatelle with shrimps was definitely a baby portion. We also got spaghetti carbonara with scampi on top 😀.

I was honestly shocked by the meal. The risotto was the worst I've had on the Adriatic coast, watery rather than creamy, and I think it was just regular rice cooked with a soup cube. The fish soup was boring, the vegetables were unevenly cooked, and the portions were small, though I wasn't keen to have more of it anyway.

The only things I liked were the view and location. I can't recommend the restaurant. The Aperol was disgusting, and instead of replacing it, they brought a second one that was just as tasteless and full of ice. The food wasn't much better, and they served potatoes instead of rice. The service needs to improve.
