Old Olive I

The villa itself was beautiful, but our stay with 14 people was disappointing because of several problems with the hostess. We found her extremely rude throughout the visit, and the lack of amenities and service made us feel the hospitable, accommodating environment we expected was missing. The rulebook said towels would be changed every two days and toiletries provided, but neither happened. There was only one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, which wasn't enough for our group over several days. The bathroom had no toiletries, and the soap provided was poor quality. Internet service also didn't work properly for about 60% of our stay, which frustrated those of us who needed it for work or communication. We also couldn't use the BBQ without supplies. The hostess hadn't provided charcoal or wood and told us to buy them ourselves when we asked. That didn't seem reasonable, especially with the nearest store 2km away. The doors were difficult to open, which may have caused trouble for some guests.

The pool area was great, with plenty of sun beds and umbrellas, and parking fit four cars. We were a group of 14, average age 24, and had a really nice stay at villa old olive VIII. There were seven rooms, five with double beds and two with separate beds; six had their own toilet and shower. The basement had ping pong, billiards, and table soccer. We had to leave a €2000 deposit, twice the usual amount. Goran was available on WhatsApp, which we appreciated, though his messages didn't always give much information. Check-in and checkout both took about 30 minutes of waiting and could have been smoother. Plodine and Konzum were about five minutes away by car, and Fažana beach took around 20 minutes to reach.

The house itself was mostly in good shape and seemed fairly new. Still, the large sliding doors to the terrace were hard to operate, and with no insect screens on the windows we had trouble with mosquitoes or other small bugs. Internet was mostly unusable, probably because the villas in the neighborhood share the same connection, which was a shame on the day I needed to work. I've rented places like this many times, but the organization felt extremely unprofessional. Check-in and checkout were a real mess, a very unpleasant way to begin a holiday. It could be a decent place if the management and internet improve.

We were welcomed by Sanja, who was really friendly and took the time to explain everything. There were three families, and all of us had a great time at Villa Old Olive VIII. The sauna and lounge area were a highlight, and we also loved the jacuzzi and table tennis. With such a lovely atmosphere, we didn't feel the need to go anywhere else. The villa is modern and set up well for groups, with large dining tables and several cozy spots to relax together. The kitchen was very complete and high standard, the wifi worked very well, and there was air conditioning throughout. We really enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend the villa.
