Villa San Antonio

The basic tomato sauce was amazing, and the prices were a little better than at the other shops we visited. We never felt hurried, and they can ship worldwide if you find something you love and want more later. You follow an off-road track for a while to reach the farm. From the outside it doesn't look like a shop, but it is. The lady showed us around the rooms where they press the oil, then took us to the tasting room with a range of oils and other products. Since it was the end of the season, only three of the five varieties were left. She was friendly, explained everything, and let us taste it all. A great spot for good olive oil and friendly service.

The drive down to the farm, with olive trees and lovely views all around, felt like stepping back in time. We stopped at this beautiful place while going from Pula to Rijeka, hoping to find authentic Croatian olive oil, and it was just what we were after. Petra showed our family of six around today and explained everything really well. The facility is in a charming country setting, and we felt warmly welcomed. The impressive, state-of-the-art equipment was a highlight, as were the six magnificent olive oils we got to taste. We left with several bottles and a lovely jar of local marmalade.
