The hosts were very friendly and checked in with us often, and communication was seamless. The kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed, including dishes, pots, and glasses. There’s also steady Wi-Fi, plus Netflix and media libraries, though the three TVs only get Croatian channels. The StoneHouse looks great at first, and it’s fully equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, stove, barbecue area, free parking, large balcony, and sheltered courtyard. But it isn’t suitable for elderly guests. The stairs are narrow and steep, connecting the downstairs bedroom to the living room and then the attic bedroom. Finding the bathroom at night when half asleep is tricky. The downstairs bedroom has no air conditioning. The thick stone wall keeps it fairly cool, around 22-23 degrees Celsius (72-75 degrees Fahrenheit), though I’d have liked it cooler. We couldn’t leave the windows open because of mosquitoes, so the room was a bit musty. It’s actually a wine cellar, but there’s no wine. The attic bedroom has two single beds and air conditioning, which keeps mosquitoes out reliably as long as the skylights stay closed.
