Orsera Camping Resort by Valamar

We drove to Orsera and pitched our tent. It felt safe and was mostly quiet, and the place is family and dog friendly, with almost 300 pitches. There’s a shop and bar, clean toilets, and water and electricity at every pitch. The beach is nice, the sea is clean, and kids can play at the playground. Wi-Fi is available near reception. Vrsar is a five to ten minute walk away. Mid-season prices felt a bit high, but we’d come back.

The breakfast was delicious and started the day off well. The mobile home was clean, looked after and had everything I needed, so it felt like home. Staff were friendly and professional, and paid attention without hovering. I also really enjoyed the bar’s atmosphere in the evenings, especially after a day of sightseeing. There’s a pool table and mini football, and bikes are available to rent for exploring Vrsar and the surrounding area. I had a wonderful stay at Tina camping and would happily recommend it.

This is only about the sea and beach, not the campsite facilities. I didn’t explore the camp or see everything it offers, so I’m giving it four stars even though I would have chosen three based on what I did see. The camp itself looks good and has plenty of campers, and the facilities seem decent, though that’s only a guess. The water, however, was really unpleasant: dirty with seaweed and some small bits of filth that looked as if sewage might be entering nearby. Snorkeling there felt gross. The beach is all concrete with steps here and there, and I couldn’t see any pebble entry. If you want clear water, Orsera (Vrsar) town beach is about 1.3 km away, with an easy pebble entrance. There’s paid parking nearby at 1.5€/h, but be careful not to use the one charging 3.5€/h.

We stayed here a few days in June 2024 with our Tischer cabin and loved it. The pitches are large, staff were lovely at check-in, and the site is right by the water, with places to sunbathe and swim. The toilets and showers were very clean, with spacious cubicles and lots of hooks. Pôrec is a lovely town about 11 km away and an easy bike ride, even without my e-bike! It was our first visit to Croatia and we loved it. A family of swallows had a nest in the roof of the women’s bathrooms, and we got to watch the young birds leave and learn to fly. Wonderful campsite, definitely recommend it. Thank you.
