The apartment itself has room for 6-7 adults, but the stay was far from relaxing. We tried to spend as little time there during the day as possible because of the daily noise and dust, except on Sunday, from excavators, dump trucks, compactors, and other machinery. The whole street was a construction site. I know that wasn’t the owner’s fault, but it’s not what you want on vacation, and none of that work was mentioned on booking.com. The listing didn’t match what we found. Getting there was another problem. The usual roads weren’t accessible, and the only way in was an unpaved, unmapped path used by the work vehicles. Several nearby streets were closed. I called the host three times while trying to find the place and got no answer, so I walked through the rubble to the address. There are practical issues inside too. The boiler has enough hot water for about three showers, then it takes several hours to heat up again, so showers need planning. The booking.com listing mentioned an extra toilet, but there isn’t one, and the landlord just shrugged when I asked. Wind comes through the closed windows, though maybe that’s to be expected by the seaside.

Staying in Marco's apartment felt like being at home, and leaving was hard. It’s a big place with a lovely sea and sunset view, three large bedrooms, and plenty of space to store clothes, with big beds, wardrobes, dressers, and hangers. It has everything you need, which means you don’t have to bring so much along. The owners are lovely and always ready to help. There’s a bakery and a little shop nearby for fresh bread and basics. Kaufland and Interspar are walkable for smaller shopping, and an Uber or Bolt back is very affordable. The access road is still being built, so getting there can be tricky sometimes. Hopefully they sort that out soon. I’d wholeheartedly recommend it for a trip to Zadar.

+ The city and sea views are incredible, and there are three balconies. + The apartments were beautiful and clean, with fresh towels and bed linen. + The hosts were so kind and friendly. They gave us homemade donuts, and when I had a slight cold, they brought me medicine. They also helped with all our questions. - The location wasn’t very convenient.

We were right at the top in a clean, tidy, spacious apartment with air conditioning. Everything was in good order, and the owners were lovely. I’d definitely recommend it.
