Beach Apartments Rafael

The location made things easy: there’s a supermarket seconds away, restaurants and coffee bars nearby, and the beach is an easy walk. Parking is private and simple, and we had a table and chairs outside our ground-floor apartment. The host was very friendly and helpful with questions, though they don’t speak much English. If you call the number, the host’s son speaks English and can help too. We paid cash in kuna later on our first day. Inside, it was very clean and looked professional, with a kitchenette that had pretty much everything, including a microwave and fridge. The bed was large, though it was made up of two mattresses. The TV sometimes lagged and froze. We’d stay again.

The Old Town is about a 20-minute walk away, or you can take the bus from the stop opposite the apartments. There’s also the option of walking partway and taking the little rowing-boat ferry for the last bit. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and the apartments are close to the beach. If you’re visiting Zadar, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed staying here.

Mosquitoes were the one real problem for me. There were no window screens, and they got into the bathroom, bedroom, and kitchen. I have allergies, so this was difficult, and we had to remove them ourselves. We couldn’t open the windows at night. Apart from that, the apartment was clean and matched its description. The owner kindly provided an iron and was ready to help if we needed anything. There’s a nearby shop, bus stops, and a promenade leading into town. Everything else was great, and the mosquito issue could be fixed.

The only thing I’d add is toiletries, like bath soap or shampoo, since those are usually provided in other apartments. Otherwise, we were impressed by how clean everything was, especially the bright white sheets and towels. The apartment was spacious, with a separate bedroom and kitchen, and everything was new. We had a great experience.
