Karlo, hvala za sve! He was a really friendly, helpful manager, and as a local he had good tips for things to do around Zadar. Our modern, clean apartment was right on Peoples' Square in the middle of the Old Town, close to everything. Check-in and checkout went smoothly, and we had a fantastic stay from beginning to end. We’d book the same place again next time we’re in Zadar.

The location right in front of the church was the one thing we liked. The bell started ringing every hour from 7 am, so it was a bit noisy. We’d expected a lovely French Provencial-style room, but Carlo eventually checked us in and took us to an attic studio on the other side of the building, three flights up with no elevator. It looked nothing like the website photos, and the IKEA furnishings didn’t match them either. The shower was small and dark. You have to check in through a restaurant, which hardly felt like a hotel. We wouldn’t book here again.

The welcome was warm and friendly, and the apartment is centrally located. After that, there wasn’t much to recommend. For something called an “integrated hotel,” service was very limited, breakfast was marginal, and the apartment’s old infrastructure wasn’t useful. After showering, a bad smell came from the drain. The price was astronomical, and it just wasn’t worth it.

The host was fantastic, communication was great, and breakfast was included at a good price. I liked the room, though it could use a little updating. Some stairwell lights didn’t work, and neither did the toilet vent or mirror light. I also couldn’t use the TV because there were no instructions. Those issues are why I held back the fifth star; the rest was excellent.

We had a really enjoyable stay in Zadar. The owner is amazing and made the place worth booking. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the price felt fair for the service. Rooms are spread across different parts of the Old Town.
