We stayed for a midweek in August 2024, and my wife and I won’t be coming back. The location is excellent, the price is fair for that spot, the internet works, and getting through three doors, one of them steel, made the room feel pretty secure. The rest of the place needs attention, though. The air conditioning left a pool of water outside the entrance, apparently because of the big gap between the outdoor temperature and the setting. We aren’t experienced AC users, but in a summer place like Zadar there should be some solution, even a bucket. It felt negligent. The central light flickered for a minute or two when switched on, which is a serious problem for me because I have epilepsy and that can trigger an attack. The small bedside lights are nearly useless, and their long vertical steel-bar design right beside the pillow meant I kept hitting my head. A regular reading light would make more sense. There’s no full-length mirror, which was a big issue for my wife, and the bedroom-to-shower door seemed ready to collapse when I touched it. There’s nowhere to hang beach towels to dry, even though summer temperatures reach 35 degrees. The curtain was half off its rail. The room wasn’t cleaned daily, towels weren’t changed, dirty cups were left, and the sheets got dirty very quickly. They had yellow stains that looked like pineapple juice, and I don’t want to know what previous guests got up to. I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but this fell short of what we expected. The owner could patch a lot of it up with a few minor repairs and a few hundred euros. With all the tourists coming to Zadar, maybe there isn’t much incentive to bother. We’d rather pay extra for somewhere like A’Mare, which also has an excellent restaurant, though it seems a bit off the beaten path.

It’s a nice, spacious room, and the reception lady was lovely, though it was odd that reception was in a different spot. The AC was stuck at a high temperature, so the room was hot. The tiles were uneven, and using the water made a loud, strange noise.
Avoid this place. It was really bad, noisy, and had plumbing problems.
The apartment was clean and lovely, and the staff were friendly. It’s in a great location too. I’d definitely recommend it.
It’s a quiet, clean room in the historic center of Zadar, and we could walk everywhere, go swimming, and wander the city’s charming little lanes. The room wasn’t very large, and opening our big suitcase was difficult, but we were hardly in it. We just used it to shower after swimming and before heading to a local konoba, which means a local restaurant. Breakfast was very good, with five dishes to choose from, coffee or tea, and orange juice. It’s served a stone’s throw away, from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m., so you could even have it for lunch. We agree with the other reviews about the bedside “lamps”: they’re useless, apart from lighting up the bump on your head when you hit them.
