We loved Zadar. The city is fascinating, and we really enjoyed the food and the people.

A lovely square.

The place is really beautiful. As an Italian, I was surprised that nobody seems to look after the Roman remains. They’re just left there, with some tombs covered in rubbish ranging from cigarette butts to coffee cups. It’s such a shame.

The Archaeological Museum is an interesting place to visit. The square itself is beautiful and feels like the heart of Zadar, especially with the important and ancient Church of St. Donatus there.
