Majda's kindness is something we'll never forget. When my husband was injured on a boating excursion and needed medical care, she came with us to the hospital and interpreted for him. After we got back, the staff did everything they could to make him comfortable while he recovered. During our three nights at Hotel Bastion, Ivan, Mario, Marina and the whole team were welcoming and took care of every request. The included breakfast was delicious, and the service was impeccable. My husband and I have traveled a lot, and we've rarely been treated so well. Hotel Bastion is the best, and we hope to return someday.

The staff at Hotel Bastion made this stay memorable. Everyone was so kind, friendly, and helpful that I almost felt shy about it, haha. I've never felt so warmly treated at a hotel. Breakfast was a real highlight: there's a generous buffet, plus made-to-order à la carte dishes included in the price. The food was fresh, beautifully served and full of flavor, with squeezed juices, great coffee and amazing bread. One of the best hotel breakfasts we've had. The reception service also stood out. The gentleman there was welcoming, professional and attentive, and made us feel looked after right away. Our room was spotless, comfortable and classically styled with modern amenities, a lovely place to unwind after exploring. Hotel Bastion sits inside the old city walls in the heart of Zadar, so everything is an easy walk away. Though so central, it felt peaceful and elegant. We had a special stay and will absolutely return.

My daughter was thrilled that we were staying in a fortress, and the location made it easy to reach all the major sights. The restaurants served excellent food, too. My husband, our two children and I had a wonderful stay: the rooms were clean and luxurious, the ambience was lovely, and the service was exceptional. Every person at the hotel went out of their way to make it a great visit. It was our favorite hotel on a two-week trip through three countries, even nicer than some five-star places. We'd stay again in a heartbeat.

We had a lovely room, a very comfortable bed and a nice view. The food was very good, though quite pricey. Ivan at reception, Helena the masseuse and the friendly dining staff were all outstanding. The location is ideal for walking around Old Town and seeing everything. Driving there and finding parking can be a little tricky. Even so, I can't recommend this excellent hotel highly enough.
