Tinel Superior Residence

Nina welcomed me when I arrived and showed me the room, then pointed out the best places to visit in Zadar. I took a shuttle from the airport for 27 euro, and the driver was friendly. The apartment is ideally placed: the Sea Organ and Greetings to the Sun are a five-minute walk away, the pier is two minutes away for relaxing, sunbathing, or strolling along the coast, and the Roman Forum is also two minutes away. From there, the main town's shops and restaurants begin. The apartment's restaurant is under a ten-minute walk, which gets you out early in the morning. The food was nice, and Nina was helpful there too. I'd recommend it for a short stay if you want to be near the action. Being so close to the Roman Forum means events can bring some noise. If you're renting a car, finding a spot near the apartment is very difficult. There is parking around 10-15 minutes away, but you can only pay for three hours at a time.

Boris, one of the owners, was so sweet, friendly, and kind, and the restaurant was a real highlight. The food was delicious, especially the fish, which was fresh that morning and you could taste it. We stayed for two nights in this hotel by the sea in the old town. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. This was easily our favorite place to stay in Croatia. The rooms are in a run-down apartment building, not really a hotel, and check-in and breakfast are a ten-minute walk away. We had a lot of luggage, so having to walk across town right at the start was inconvenient. The apartment itself was clean and near the water, but the walls are paper-thin, and a church next door rings its bells every 30 minutes from 7am. There's no shampoo, conditioner, or shower gel in the room. Checkout at 10am was the earliest I've ever encountered.

The owner was really nice, and breakfast at a restaurant ten minutes from the apartment was good. The apartments are well placed for the main attractions, but the noise meant we couldn't sleep: church bells sounded every hour through the night, with people laughing and cars going by. The AC was broken, so it was very hot. One bathroom wall is glass, which meant there was no privacy; I could see my husband showering and using the toilet.
