Ivan sent us off with coffee and even made us a lovely barbecue with fresh fish and mussels. He also offers boat trips on weekends. We were five girls visiting Zadar and felt at home straight away when he welcomed us with coffee. He showed us around on a map, which helped us find restaurants and entertainment. The beaches are very close, and it’s a 20-minute walk along the promenade to the centre.

We only wished we’d booked more days. Next time we come, we’ll stay at Wolverine Residence again and go sailing with Ivan, who was a friendly host. The beach is a four-minute walk away, and a small supermarket for groceries is two minutes away on foot. It takes around a 30-minute slow walk to the city centre and market, where we got fresh fish and vegetables, then had a barbecue with Ivan. For the beach, bring a good mat and shoes to stay comfortable. Wolverine Residence was quiet and clean, tastefully arranged, and felt like a second home.

I stayed in this house while I was an Erasmus student. The landlord was kind and helpful, and I was impressed by the small but practical home design.

There are several beaches nearby and the city centre isn't far, so the location is good. BUT, the car repair shop next door starts work at 7-8 a.m., and construction beside it makes noise from morning until night. Apart from that, the Marquise is wonderful, everything is fine. There's a dishwasher, but no detergent for it.

The supermarket is just a two-minute walk away. The apartment was lovely and clean, and the host was flexible.
