The winter garden stood out, and the house has very tasteful interiors. This lovely B&B has welcoming hosts, wonderful homemade breakfast, and clean, comfortable rooms. The location is convenient, close enough to the city center while still being very quiet. Recommended for a unique Zagreb stay!

Plan on spending at least two hours over breakfast. Nadia magically prepares organic food, mostly plant based, and serves it in a stunning orangery. Don’t miss the leek omelette, and save room for homemade muffins. The large rooms have high ceilings and very comfortable beds; the bathrooms are warm and look fantastic without tiles. Embassy Row B&B is in a very old, quiet street within walking distance of Zagreb’s major square. The hosts are recognized artists, and you can see it throughout the house. It has the feel of Cote Sud magazine, shabby chic meeting wabi sabi, and it’s unlike other B&Bs in Croatia. Nothing is perfect, which is why everything feels perfect. For anyone who likes subtle looks, natural materials, and clever design, this place has a rare warmth and appreciation that made me feel at home in a new city. Stay at least three days unless you want to feel sorry when you leave. A gem.

The hosts are so warm and welcoming, and they make the most amazing healthy food I’ve ever tried. It’s a beautiful house with lovely surroundings and a great location. This is where I feel at home when I’m in Zagreb :)
