Funk Lounge Hostel

The rooms could use work: the beds weren’t very comfortable, the space was a bit cramped, and some renovation might help. They were fairly clean, though, and the hostel was cheap. Outside noise came through the walls and could make sleeping difficult, alongside some noise inside the room. On the plus side, the staff were really friendly and somewhat flexible about check-in and check-out. They also gave nice suggestions for places to visit or eat. It’s not right by the center, but only a short tram ride away, and Maksimir Park is also within a short ride. Not the worst stay, but there’s room to improve.

The hostel is very central, and the staff were fine, but I wouldn’t come back when I’m in Zagreb. The sheets were nice, though the beds creaked a lot, there were only a few outlets in the room and no charging points, and the bathrooms seemed to be falling apart. Those issues brought the feel of the place down.

The evening guy was really helpful and cool, and the place itself is beautiful, friendly, clean, and well organized. I stayed three nights and honestly enjoyed it. Thanks to him!

Everything went smoothly during my stay. The staff were very friendly, the rooms and toilets were spotless, and the common facilities were all there. A good experience for the price.
