Our room had an issue when we arrived, but the team moved us to another without any hassle, which we really appreciated. The staff were courteous, friendly, and helpful throughout. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well kept, and breakfast had a decent range. Vegetarian choices were a bit limited, though we found enough to enjoy. The location made a great base, right by Glavni kolodvor and Tomislav Square, with a tram stop just outside and a few supermarkets and shops nearby. We had an amazing stay at Hotel Central and would happily recommend it to anyone coming to Zagreb.

The staff were kind, the rooms clean, and breakfast had enough good options. It’s great value, right in the center near the tram and train station. The main square, tourist areas, and shopping street are easy to reach on foot. Definitely recommend it! 🥳

Breakfast had plenty to choose from and was a nice start to the day. The room was clean and comfortable, with a good bed and pillows. The hotel is in a great spot, around a 15-minute walk from the main center square.

The rooms feel dated and rather dingy, and although the information page mentions parking, the public garage is actually a 200-meter walk away. The location near the Christmas markets is probably the only positive I can give. It's listed as three stars, but to me it feels closer to two.

The location is handy if you need to be by the train station, but otherwise I'd look for somewhere nearer the upper town's nicer areas. Maybe there are good rooms here, as other reviews suggest, and I saw one while it was being cleaned, but ours wasn't like that. Our Level 1 room felt like a dungeon, with tiny high-up hatch windows, buildings all around us, and no natural light or view. There was no bathroom vent, and the toilet area, then eventually the whole room, filled with a rotten garlic smell. It was unbearable. The reception staff were so frosty that even a simple “good morning” got no response. The whole atmosphere felt off-putting.
