It's right in the downtown area, so getting around was easy. Still, I could hear people in the rooms beside and above me. The room smelled of cigarettes, though it was supposed to be non-smoking, and the bathroom was tiny: I had to open the door to get in, then shut it to reach the sink. It can work for a short visit.

I stayed nearly a week after someone recommended the place, and would definitely come back on another trip to Zagreb. The staff were incredibly kind and professional, and flexible and helpful when we explained our dilemmas. They cleaned the rooms every day.

The rooms were clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, at 10 euros, and parking at the hotel's own lot was 10 euros per day. It's near the central station, with old locomotives outside the window, but the hotel itself was very quiet.

I liked having a little distance from the city center's hustle, though it's still an easy walk there. Breakfast each morning was generous, more than enough for me. My private single room was basic and showed the usual hotel wear, but I had no major complaints. A good option if you don't need lots of amenities.

The only real plus was being close to public transport. The hotel and everything in it felt extremely old, like living in 1200, and I even took a photo of the door lock, which still uses a key. Room lighting was poor, with no way to control it from beside the bed. Internet was okay, though not especially good. Outside, workers started cutting trees at 7 AM on the weekend, then came back the next morning to clear away what they'd cut. It was an extremely bad experience.
