We had a lovely lunch at the hotel restaurant and a very satisfying breakfast. Our room was big and comfortable, and the position was great and quiet. It was only one night, but we won’t forget it. Larisa deserves a special mention for arranging an upgrade to a suite on the top floor. She was caring, polite, and very professional. The staff were great, and we’ll definitely come back. Highly recommended.

Dead mosquitoes were scattered all over the floor when I entered the room. Housekeeping came to clean up pretty quickly after I called the front desk. Breakfast was disappointing too, with very slow refills and basic items like forks and knives not replaced promptly. The shower head connection was damaged, so water sprayed out of the joint instead of the shower head. The hotel has a convenient spot close to the airport, a shopping mall across the street, and plenty of parking for anyone driving. It looks good, with modern decor, a spacious room, decent sound insulation, and facilities that are fine. The front desk staff were acceptable, though service was only average and their English had a very strong accent. It looks impressive at first, but management and daily operations need to improve for the standards to match.

We enjoyed the wellness area on the 7th floor, especially the gym, steam room, and sauna. In the evening, we had welcome drinks at the beautifully designed ground-floor bar. Everyone we spoke with, from the receptionist to the bartender, was pleasant, and there were no language barriers. The walk-in shower with its rainfall head was excellent. Our one night in Room 608 was a great stay, and we’d recommend the hotel. The room was spacious, fresh, nicely designed, and furnished with high-quality pieces, though there were a few small wall scratches or smudges. We found the mattress too soft, but liked having at least two pillow types. A small window opened partway for fresh air. There was a decent coffee machine with three capsules and a kettle, plus two small coffee cups, but no standard 200 ml tea cups. Bottled mineral water was complimentary, even though Zagreb tap water is perfectly drinkable. The smart TV didn’t work at all, and a technician came on checkout day but couldn’t fix it.

We arrived three hours before check-in, and although the rooms were ready, they charged us 10 EUR per hour for checking in early. I found that completely unacceptable. They could have simply thanked us for choosing them over the competition, said the rooms were prepared, and wished us a good stay. All I can do is give one star and never come back.
