The owner doesn’t speak English, but the hospitality was something else. When I said I’d write her a good review, she blew a chef’s kiss and smiled. You don’t get that kind of warmth everywhere, especially outside a family-run place. The room was clean and well maintained, with a good price for the area. The walk from the bus station was worth it, and the stocked tea station was a nice touch. There’s no breakfast, but Pizzeria Butler is a great place for good food, and Konzum is handy for groceries. Both are within walking distance. If the owner sees this, a USB nightstand lamp would be a nice addition. Those of us coming from the USA may not have a wall adapter to charge our phones. If I return to Zagreb, I’ll certainly stay again.

The neighbours’ dog attacked us as we were heading out. There were no towels, and the room smelled of cigarettes. This was the most disgusting place I’ve ever slept.

I’ve stayed at Butković accommodation several times and will keep coming back. It’s in a great location and is extremely comfortable. The owner is formal in manner but very warm and kind. I definitely recommend it 👌

The host was incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The location was ideal, tucked away on a quiet side street while still having good public transport connections. The small but nicely furnished bungalows sit in a large garden, each able to sleep 2-3 guests. They’re pleasant and practical, without much fuss; the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. A few things weren’t ideal: there were no outlets by the large double bed, the terrace and garden are shared with the other guests and the host, and in my opinion it felt a bit cramped for three people.

The welcome was warm even though we arrived late in the evening. Hospitality was a 10. The place was neat and quiet, and the outdoor area was really nice.
