Studio Ami

A lovely little studio.

This was a miserable stay, and I strongly advise people to avoid the place. The contact person never appeared in person, and when we complained, they insulted us. The apartment was unbearably hot, at least 38 degrees Celsius inside, and we got no rest that night. The air conditioning was broken, and we couldn't use it because it sat right over the bed, pouring water onto the pillows and soaking the bed. The refrigerator was filthy, and I found a very long hair on my towel when I went to shower. After dinner we came back to find a huge cockroach in the entrance hall, under the entryway table. We couldn't kill it. We searched the drawers and cabinets for insecticide, but there was none in the house. The cockroach was probably already there when we arrived. It felt like the only clean things were the ones in plain sight, apart from the refrigerator. Getting the key was another problem. We arrived in the rain and got soaked. The building has no number, so you have to guess which one it is by counting along the street, which isn't well lit at night. The directions to the key, left in the middle of the street, weren't much help. The contact person said they don't answer messages after 9 pm, so if you arrive later and can't find the key, or it's missing, you've paid for a place you can't enter.

For two people, this cozy studio has what you need even for a stay longer than a weekend. You can cook and catch local TV, and Zagreb's main square is a 25-minute walk away. Highly recommended.
