Wallaby House Hostel

If you’re young, open-minded, and looking for fun, you’ll probably love this hostel. The staff are super friendly and ready to help with any problem. It’s the best hostel I’ve stayed at in any country so far. I’d stay again if I come back to Zagreb.

I was only here two nights, but now I want to return to Zagreb just to stay longer. The Wallaby is outside the city center, yet the atmosphere is hard to beat. There’s a game show, daily beer pong, and other social activities. Huge thanks to Cracker and his team for making this feel like more than just a bed. If you’re in Zagreb, check it out. Cracker, the owner, is an absolute legend and makes sure everyone’s having a good time. Quiz nights, BBQs, pub crawls, pancakes, there’s always something happening at The Wallaby. The atmosphere is great, whether you’re there to party or just relax. It’s a short walk from Zagreb Central Bus Station and a quick tram ride to the old town. Best hostel I’ve stayed at, highly recommend!

The private room was roomy and clean, and the shared bathroom was clean too. There’s also a decent-sized backyard. The hostel is close enough to walk from the Bus Terminal, and local transit is easy to get to. I did feel a bit old there, since most of the guests seemed to be in their early twenties. If partying and drinking are your thing, this is definitely the place.
