June 28, 2025 The bed was shaky and noisy, and the outlet beside it couldn't be used because the mattress blocked it. Road noise also made it hard to rest. The shared spaces and rooms were dirty: the kitchen sink was piled with unwashed dishes, the walls were grimy, and the toilet smelled, with a wet floor and cigarette butts. The reception was dark and cluttered, with bed linen hanging there, so it didn't look like a reception at all. At check-in I stood right in front of the receptionist for a long time while he talked with a woman in their language. I thought she was a guest, but she turned out to be staff. He didn't even greet me or acknowledge I was there. The hostel photos online seem to be from when it was new; now it feels messy and smells bad. Hostels are cheap, but that doesn't mean they have to be dirty. They could do much better.

Don't stay here, there were bed bugs when we visited. The place is dirty and unclean. No one was there to check us in, even though they had my full name, room number, and key written on a piece of paper. That made me feel very unsafe, and then there were the bed bugs too.

I'd give this negative ten stars if I could, but one is the minimum. The hostel stinks like a barn and is dirty, and I don't think they change the sheets. I saw people with bed bug bites. There was no heating, and when I asked the cleaner for a blanket, she didn't give me one. The workers were rude and kind of scary, and never smiled. Thank God I got out in one piece. For your safety and well-being, stay away.

The rooms have no Wi-Fi, which was the biggest issue for me. My room smelled, faced the road, and was so noisy at night that I struggled to sleep. Although I booked a four-person dorm, they added another guest and made it a five-person room. The bathroom design is poor too. The location is good, very near the city center, but if you have a better option, don't choose this hostel. 😹

It's an old hotel, but it does the job if you're after inexpensive accommodation. The service was really nice, and there's a kitchen. It's also very close to the city center.
