Hotel Mayer

I've stayed in hotels around Europe, the US, and Asia for work, and this place stands out among all the hotels I've experienced, for both business and personal trips. The rooms and facilities are wonderful, and the staff really care about their guests. It's one of my favorite places I've stayed anywhere.

A surprisingly lovely stay. The traditionally styled hotel is in a quiet neighborhood where we heard only birds and leaves rustling. Our luxury double room was clean, comfortable, and peaceful, with an unusually spacious bathroom. The mattress and pillows were fine, and we slept well. The spa facilities were decent. Staff were polite and as helpful as you'd hope from tourism professionals. Definitely recommended.

Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, and the rooms were clean and air conditioned. It was quiet and well suited to families. We were completely satisfied, pleasantly surprised by the hotel, and would love to come back.

The breakfast buffet was tasty and well done, though orange juice and yogurt were missing. It runs from 8-10, and checkout is at 11. The staff smile and speak English, but won't help carry heavy luggage. Parking spaces are very limited, and the second floor isn't accessible to people with disabilities. The pool is fairly small but fine for young children, with a handy outdoor bar for adults. The shower pressure was low early in the morning because the pool is heated. There's air conditioning and free Wi-Fi, but the TV has no international channels and the minibar makes a little noise when running. Rooms aren't large, though ours was comfortable enough for a short stay, with limited cupboard space. It can sleep four thanks to two extra single beds. The two two story buildings are in clean, flowery surroundings. It's very quiet, set a little back from the lake in a residential area, and the bed was very comfortable.
