Bristol Apartment

After cycling 100 km, we arrived exhausted to find a room booked for three adults with two beds and a broken armchair-style bed. No child could fit on it, and it was too broken to sit on, let alone sleep on. There was a large suspicious brown stain in the middle of the upholstery, and the made-up bedding had stained sheets. The toilet door was just a boarded wooden panel, offering no privacy. I knew the accommodation wasn’t expensive, but I expected more than nothing. I ended up sleeping on the floor, and a bench outside among homeless people would have been more comfortable. We didn’t call the owner that evening because we were tired, and the accommodation had already felt stiff and aggressive when we booked it. I don’t recommend this place to anyone.

Everything was clean and orderly, and the value for money was perfectly fine. The little rooms are nice, though it can take a bit of finding your way through the place. The walls don’t block much sound, but I think guests booking somewhere can behave well enough not to disturb others. We’ll come again.

I stayed here for one night, and the owner’s behavior was outrageous and completely unacceptable. I gave the accommodation a rating of 7, and they actually messaged me, “Go rot.” If you can’t take criticism, you shouldn’t run apartments. I feel sorry for the woman handling things, having to work with such disgusting people. I was completely satisfied with her. All in all, because of the owners, I’d tell people to steer well clear of this place. “Thank you.”

Dear lady, I’m the partner of the “idiot” who stayed with you recently. 🙂 You should have apologized for the problems and said they’d be fixed as soon as possible. Here’s some free advice. Don’t put a bedroom in a hole just big enough for the room. Not everyone can cope with being shut in at 40' heat, without a window, climbing over each other. There was no blanket, just a synthetic duvet cover, which is fine, but a wardrobe in the bathroom would help, since it doesn’t fit anywhere else. Then we wouldn’t have to get dressed out of a suitcase. It was still 40', and instead of a refrigerator there was a minibar fridge, barely big enough for a bottle of water and a sandwich. The toilet in the bathroom wasn’t good, the water ran constantly, and the shower was way up high so I could barely reach it. The sink was full of long black hairs, so it clearly hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guest. And there was that tiny 300 forint mirror stuck to the wall. There was a TV in the hallway, but putting it a meter in front of your nose isn’t ideal. TV wasn’t the point of our vacation anyway. We could hear the neighbor talking and showering in his bathroom because the place is so poorly soundproofed. You should also mention the pub on your site. It makes sleeping impossible. 😩 I guess I’m stupid, otherwise you wouldn’t have guests. 🫤 I still think you should have apologized and not taken it personally that we should have looked for a 5-star place. We stayed in a 5-star pension in Kéthely and had no problems. We managed to pay for it. Your pension unfortunately leaves something to be desired. I think you remember that I pointed out when we arrived that we were in a construction area. You’d forgotten to mention that, and replied that I could complain on “Booking..” There were problems with your style there too, and unfortunately that reflects on you. Even so, we still came away with a positive opinion despite how we were treated. :) The other rooms were beautiful, and believe me, we would have paid for one if there’d been a vacancy! :) Anyway, I wish you success with your business.
