It was a very disappointing stay. The rooms smelled, there were bugs everywhere, and the houses had practically no towels, cups, or other basics. The woman running the place was very arrogant. The photos make it look good, but in person it was completely different.

The place was dusty and dirty, with almost no equipment. In the stuffy, warm hut there wasn't even a glass. At night we crushed a vitamin C chewable tablet, then gave our asthmatic child stagnant water that tasted like a tank. We couldn't shower because there was no hot water connected, and the bathroom was dirty as well. When we arrived, the woman running the place gave us a crooked smile and said she'd show us a bungalow, though she didn't think it would suit me. She said there was still a room free in the house, but it would be "significantly more expensive." Seeing our five year old sweating in 30 degrees, she offered air conditioning, but wanted 3500 HUF for the night to hand over the remote. The price starts at 20,000 HUF per night. Luckily we only stayed from 13:30 at night until 9 in the morning, but that was only because there was no other option anywhere in Almadi. This place is probably best suited to cyclists, and I wouldn't expect it to be worth more than 3,000 HUF.

The staff were kind and friendly, and the place worked well for groups. There was a fireplace with a wine rack and a large terrace with plenty of tables. The many plants were lovely and well cared for, although several old trees could use pruning. From the back gate, it was quick to reach the city center and Lake Balaton. The bungalows are simple, but the kitchen is well equipped. The tables in front of the little houses were useful, too. The shower has been renovated, though it's quite small. The beds are basic but comfortable, and we had room for our things in a modern wardrobe. We had a good stay. Thank you.

Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and the hosts were very kind. You have to walk a bit to reach Lake Balaton, but the peace, quiet, and family friendly surroundings make it worthwhile. There's a trampoline, table football, ping pong, and facilities for cooking in the yard. Definitely worth trying if you're looking to relax.

The internet wasn't the best 😑. My brother was meant to stay here with us and the kids, and the booking was for one adult and two children, but he was given just one bed. We were there with the grandparents.
