There were 16 of us biking around the Balaton, with a booking for one night. We came into reception with our bikes, and the woman who said she was the owner asked us to take them back outside. We did that without any fuss. By the time we reached the spot where we were supposed to leave them, she was arguing with some of us and, within about five minutes, was kicking us out. It was 11:30 pm and there were 16 of us. How messed up, or rich, do you have to be to turn away the business of 16 people? You might think we were in the wrong, but 16 crazy people on bikes would be a mobile mental hospital, and as far as I know those don’t exist. They kept our deposit and called the police on us. One more detail: the owners aren’t Hungarian, and the deposit bill we received came from Miami. Make of that what you will.

The hygiene was horrible. I woke up with a spider crawling toward my face, saw more spiders outside the window and in the shower, and there was a cockroach on our bed. There’s no security and no reception either. I wouldn’t advise anyone to stay here, since it could ruin an otherwise nice trip.

DISASTER! Stay away. The residence was very dirty and unhygienic, with bugs in every room. There was no fan, and only a limited number of towels. The owners were extremely rude and racist. Do yourself and your family a favour and pick somewhere else!

The building has the feel of an old school. The accommodation is unusual, with the kitchen, toilets, and showers in separate areas, while the room itself has only four beds.
