The service was really friendly, and breakfast was healthy and tasty, with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. They’ll cook eggs however you like, and the coffee was very good. The lake is only a few minutes away on foot, which makes the location ideal. The room itself was just okay, with dated decor, poor sound insulation and unreliable WiFi. There wasn’t a lock on the bathroom door. Still, I’m happy with my choice to stay here.

The staff were cheerful, kind and very helpful, and the saunas and outdoor pool were available around the clock. The rooms were okay at best, though. Taking a shower meant bending all the way over, which was pretty uncomfortable.

About the basement apartment: the rooms are extremely small, and the air conditioner smelled moldy. Breakfast was great, with all the à la carte choices.

György, the owner, really made the stay special. He was warm and genuine, helped us with everything, pointed us to some lovely wineries, and even drove us to one. The other team members were lovely too, though I’ve forgotten their names, and everyone made us feel at home. Annuska is truly special as well. The hotel is beautifully designed and decorated throughout, elegant but still welcoming and homely. Breakfast was fantastic, with a huge range of high-quality food and free prosecco every morning. We loved our comfortable bed and room, and the well-kept pool and garden. The bikes are free, and the team gave us tips for a great ride that we really enjoyed. We didn’t use the spa, but it looked great. The hotel is on a quiet street, yet the lake, bars and restaurants are all within walking distance. We loved staying here and can’t recommend it enough. The team cares so much about the hotel that I’m sure others will have a similar experience.

The staff were so nice, breakfast was good, and the pool area was a relaxing spot. Wish we’d been able to stay longer!
