The breakfast buffet had a good range of healthy and traditional options, and the service was decent, though some staff seemed a bit odd at times. The indoor spa, outdoor pool, and jacuzzi offered a relaxing break from downtown, and the hotel sits in the lively heart of Balatonfüred with a great view of Lake Balaton and Tihany Monastery. For this price, I found the rooms bare-bones. The towels felt extremely cheap, the beds were poor quality, and little care seemed to have gone into furnishing. Golden Lake Resort also seems short on maintenance: balcony decks were covered in mold and the bathroom was falling apart. The wireless connection was nearly unusable, which was probably the clearest sign of poor management or inattention to detail. At a central location and this price, that’s unacceptable.

The food was extremely good, and the wellness area was really calm. Everyone on staff was very nice and helpful. We asked for a room facing Lake Balaton and got the quiet, lovely side. Thanks so much for making that happen. We were very happy with the stay and will be back soon! ;)

We had a spacious, comfortable room, and the wellness center was a great place to unwind, especially the pools and saunas. Breakfast was varied and delicious, and the staff were consistently kind and helpful. The location is excellent, right by Lake Balaton and near the marina, with plenty of nice walks nearby. A very pleasant stay, and I’d definitely return.

The staff were professional, courteous, and friendly, and the whole atmosphere felt relaxing. The accommodations, wellness center, and outdoor facilities were all wonderful. 10/10, I’d recommend it and would return.
