The room was clean, warm and peaceful, and the 24-hour reception staff were friendly and helpful. Elisabeth Residence is well placed for the station and airport express bus, with restaurants a short walk away and the historic centre a reasonable walk away. The smart TV didn’t work, the bedside lamps were a little faulty, and I’d rather have had one large duvet than two small ones. Still, I really enjoyed my stay and thought the accommodation was excellent.

We booked through Agoda and found the price reasonable. The place felt secure, with a good room and bed, plus a kitchen for cooking, a washing machine and an iron. It’s easy to get around from here, with bus stops for the airport express and plenty of restaurants and a supermarket nearby.

The apartment is in a handy spot among the bars, and the main attractions are about 15-20 minutes away on foot. The kitchen was well equipped, and the complimentary tea and coffee were much appreciated. If you reserve parking, ask how to lower the bar in the middle of the parking space. I couldn’t figure that out right away.

There are restaurants and brunch places all around, and most of the Budapest sights people usually visit are close by. We found the service great and the apartment clean, with underground parking available to reserve. Our room included breakfast at a nearby cafe, which was good value, though the apartment also had a fully equipped kitchen if you’d rather cook. The nearest public transport is close, but it’s still 500-900m away depending on where you’re headed, so it may be awkward if you have mobility difficulties. That’s because this is a historic part of Budapest. There are plenty of taxi and Uber services around, too. A great choice if you’re looking for an apartment in the city.
