Kenese turned out better than we expected, with friendly people, tasty food, nice places to go, evening entertainment, and the best ice cream I’ve ever had at FagyiOázis. The owners were kind and helpful, and we had a great time, so we’d still recommend the place. The parking area was a real plus: spacious, shady and wooded, enclosed, and operated with a key for opening and closing everything. We got very good value for the price, and the place has a retro, old-fashioned feel but comes with what you need. Our room was tidy and newly furnished. The futon squeaked whenever either of us moved, though, and at 60-80 kilos that got old. It was also pretty hot, with just a small fan for airflow. I wish they’d dusted before we arrived. The bathroom was retro but that was fine; the toilet and the rest of the room were dirty and dusty, and there was no toilet paper. We cleaned it and restocked what we needed ourselves, no big deal for us, but it seemed to come with the price. The cleanliness is why I’m giving four stars.
