The price is good for this lovely place. The wooden cabin rooms are basic and dated, nothing fancy, but fine for what you pay. There weren’t any towels, only bed linen, and the Wi-Fi didn’t work.

Kids can run around on the spacious playground and the grassy areas while adults sit by the campfire and chat. It’s a lovely family place, with picnic and barbecue areas, a soccer field and beach volleyball court. It’s more like a campsite or youth hostel than a regular inn, and families with children can have a great time here.

I only stayed one night while traveling to Spain, but I’d consider coming back for longer. Balaton is a beautiful area, and I’ve visited before. The accommodation was okay, with shops nearby and plenty of parking. We had a room in a villa with around eight rooms, and there was a large freezer in the shared ground-floor room. It also looked like there was a children’s playground.

The beach is a real plus, just seven minutes away, and the reception staff were good. The price is another advantage. But I wouldn’t recommend this place for a family holiday or a cultural trip. It’s very dirty and everything feels old. The small kitchen is cramped and dirty, the fridges barely work, and there’s a terrible smell of spoiled food. The bathroom and toilet are in poor condition and unpleasant to use. Noisy neighbors and the amusement park are nearby. The grounds are open, so anyone could come in and take things from a tent. Parking is tight, with most cars left outside the campsite or between the tents.
