The lake view was a plus, but the rest didn't match the standard they claim. There were spiders in the room, the trains were noisy, and breakfast was terrible. It also felt seriously overpriced. I wouldn't say it's worth the money.

We stayed two nights with a group of 32, and had breakfast included. We also ate lunch and dinner at the hotel. The accommodation itself was all right, but the bill left a bad impression: they charged us €100 for juice that was supposed to be included with breakfast. Their explanation was that our group drank a lot, even though there was only one machine for the whole hotel and other groups were staying there too. I don't know how they worked that out 😂. They sent the invoice in Hungarian and said they couldn't send it in English. After we'd paid, they told us there was nothing they could do. We wouldn't recommend staying here because of the way they treated us. They should tell guests about extra charges beforehand. If you're going, buying juice at the nearby Lidl would be cheaper 🙃.

The view from the hotel is really nice, and the staff were kind and friendly. Breakfast was disappointing, though. There wasn't much to choose from, and the bread didn't seem fresh, maybe it had been there for two or three days.

The food was very good, and the restaurant service was nice. That's why I'm giving two stars. The way reception handled our payment really put me off, and I won't stay here again on principle. We booked through Booking. They let us pay for restaurant drinks in euros, but not the room. At reception, they said their rate followed the national bank's current rate: 408.77 HUF to €1. The national bank rate at the time was 392.69 HUF to €1. Using the reception rate made our stay 4% more expensive. The receptionist said it was my bank's problem, but I use Revolut abroad for its exchange rate, which was 389.81 HUF to €1, close to the national bank rate. I was also told it was only a €9 difference. I find that attitude unacceptable. For a seven-day stay, they said it would only be €26. I hope this wasn't a deliberate way of ripping clients off and was just a mistake because someone at reception hadn't updated the rate. But when I pointed it out, nothing changed, so I don't really believe that explanation. The room was supposed to cost €186.42, with city tax included. At the reception rate, that would be 76,202 HUF. At the national bank rate, it would be 73,205 HUF. We paid 75,914 HUF, which doesn't match either rate.
