12 Revay Hotel

The breakfast buffet had plenty of good-quality food, and the common areas were comfortable. We also found the hotel well situated, the rooms clean, and the reception and breakfast staff extremely polite. Everything else worked perfectly for us. Our one complaint was housekeeping: both days they knocked after 3:30 p.m., just as we'd returned to rest after leaving at 7:30 a.m. The notice said they enter rooms between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., but that doesn't seem to be followed.

We stayed five days, and they never changed our towels or cleared away our food trash. We were really disappointed with the service. We also lost €450 at the reception bar and asked to see the camera footage, giving them the exact time we were there. They said they hadn't seen us. They should just tell the truth.

Breakfast was good, and so were the staff. But the room had no fresh air because the window couldn't be opened, and the bed and pillows weren't comfortable. There were no flip-flops in the room, and they sell them for €5. Seriously?

We were charged nearly $80 too much for breakfast for our stay when we checked out this morning, after currency conversion. When we questioned it, they acted annoyed. I wonder how many other people this has happened to. I would've rated the hotel highly otherwise.
