We could drop our bags at the hostel a few hours before check-in after paying, which was handy. But when we returned and got our first-floor room key, it was obvious the room hadn't been cleaned. There was dust and hair across the floor, crumbs on the desk, something spilled on the back of the door, and hair and grime built up in both the shower and sink. Our assigned fridge had half-eaten food in it. The beds were covered in hair, and the blankets looked like they'd just been tossed over without changing them. We went to reception for clean sheets. The girl seemed irritated that we complained and showed no sympathy or offered any compensation. She reluctantly took us to get fresh sheets, and we had to remake the beds ourselves. When we brought the dirty sheets downstairs, she expected us to carry them to the laundry. Another staff member came and took them from us. We were really unimpressed by the room's condition and how reception handled it. It was terrible value for money, and we wouldn't recommend staying there.
