The location was really convenient, close to a station, shops, and restaurants. Check-in and checkout were smooth, everything felt safe, and we had no issues. The accommodation was spacious, comfortable and cosy, with everything provided. The only things we missed were sugar, coffee and body wash, though maybe we overlooked them. I’d definitely recommend it.

Budapest Downtown Residence has become our favourite place to stay in Budapest. This was our second or third visit, and the apartments have always been clean and stocked with what we need in sensible amounts, from toilet paper and towels to a sponge and detergent. The building is fairly new, in a partly renovated stretch of Üllői Út. There are good supermarkets nearby, Lidl, Spar and Penny, along with restaurants like Sakura Ramen and Madame Pho, and cafés including Vergnano and the familiar Starbucks that’s always open. What really sets BDR apart is the manager, RGy. He’s always available, polite, quick-witted and impressively efficient at sorting out whatever comes up. We appreciate him so much that we haven’t tried other residencies in Bp, in case their managers aren’t as efficient. Check-in and checkout keep getting better, with clear emails and WhatsApp messages and no problems. On this last visit I left an outfit in the closet, and RGy let us know straight away. I travel regularly, and managed apartments like RDR are rare and deserve a review: 5 STARS! Thanks for another lovely stay in beautiful Budapest. Best wishes and Happy 2025!

The studio felt warm and cosy, like home, and it was clean and ready to use. It had pretty much everything for a stay, including a toaster, coffee maker, cutlery, iron and ironing board, washing machine, clothes rack, hair dryer and dishwasher. I’d suggest adding a corkscrew since there are wine glasses. The bed was comfortable, but the sofa wasn’t. You could feel the springs even while sitting, so it should be replaced. The heating worked very well, sometimes a bit too well, and the bathroom air conditioning was very loud even with the door closed. Check-in went smoothly: we got the entrance code and directions beforehand, then used the lock box by the apartment door to get the key. The location is a little farther from the city centre and main tourist sights, but it’s a safe neighbourhood with plenty of cafés and shops and a huge shopping mall just minutes away. Semmelweis Klinikak bus and metro station is a five-minute walk, and Corvin-negyed is about 10-15 minutes away, with more buses and trams passing through. The address was easy to find. It was one of the best apartments I’ve stayed in while travelling, and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Budapest.

Our three-night stay was comfortable, and the place was clean and fresh. The location worked well too, with a shopping mall and metro station nearby.
