We were on the third floor at Chez Zeiza, and there’s no lift, but with our light luggage that was fine. The place itself is in a calm, peaceful part of Buda, and short taxi rides to the main attractions always cost under €10. Our room was gorgeous, well decorated, spotless, tidy, and smelled fabulous. The shower was dreamy, too, and we had everything we needed for two nights. Breakfast was set out in a sweet setting, and from the decor to the lovely staff, the whole place felt friendly and welcoming from the start. There honestly wasn’t anything we’d change.

It feels like a family-run hotel, with very friendly staff and clean, comfortable rooms. The hotel is new and sits in a quiet, lovely part of Budapest, which I personally really liked. Though it’s outside the center, getting there is easy, and there are several cafés and restaurants nearby. Breakfast is French-style, made with top-quality products. Highly recommended.

The hotel is clean, new, and generally pleasant, which is why I hadn’t planned to write a review. But our New Year’s Eve stay was frustrating. We paid €250 a night for a basic room without breakfast, and there wasn’t even a kettle. Each time we wanted tea, we had to buy it at the bar by the entrance, paying €2 for a tea bag and hot water. I think the hotel should reconsider this policy. We’d already paid a significant amount, so charging extra for a simple cup of tea felt unnecessary. Little things like that affect how guests feel about their stay. Please don’t take this to the point of absurdity.

The bed was comfortable and just the firmness I like. Check-in was easy, as was getting into the building and room. We enjoyed the modern decor, quiet street, and friendly staff. Breakfast was basic.
